Gestalt Effect Manifesto for Enterprise 2.0

Enterprise 2.0, Web 2.0, these concepts are all about supercharging collaboration.

Merriam-Webster defines Collaboration as working "jointly with others or together especially in an intellectual endeavor." In a December 2008 study called Enabling the Future of Collaboration, Forrester Research noted "enterprises face the challenge of providing workers with tools that make team collaboration easier, faster, more productive, and more secure."

Gestalt Effect is a consultancy created to meet the challenge of fostering effective Collaboration in the Enterprise. We build our engagements around the following five principles:

  • Effective Collaboration transforms the way companies do business.
  • Collaboration fosters new ways to communicate with stakeholders and customers.
  • Collaboration begins within and must be embraced with equal rigor at all levels.
  • We frame problems, design solutions, build consensus and build cultures of collaboration.
  • Solutions to the collaboration problem involve three elements: Technology, Culture and Logistics.

Technology governs the tools that enable collaboration; Culture indicates the rules by which your stakeholders and customers do business; and Logistics asks the question: Where exactly are all these people?

Our consultants are obsessed with how users interact. How they collaborate naturally and how that collaboration can be molded into more efficient processes. We define users as anyone who affects a system, whether they are employees, contractors, partners or customers. We define a system as your business.
